Powders

Our powders are engineered for wear and specialized component applications across a wide spectrum of industries including energy, aerospace, mining, construction, and machine tools. The standard product offering is extensive and includes thermal spray, plasma transfer arc, macrocrystalline tungsten carbide powder, and metal carbide powders as well as custom blended materials for specialized applications. We have built our leading position in specialty powders by making continuous investments in R&D, an ISO-Certified quality system, and a customer-first approach to business.

Products

Cast Tungsten Carbide

Cast Tungsten Carbide

High temperature, abrasion, and impact resistant. Widely used in mining, oil, metallurgical, steel, and construction machinery as well as hardfacing matrix powder for PDC bits, drill pipes, TC bearings, etc.

Spherical Cast Tungsten Carbide

Spherical Cast Tungsten Carbide

Using cast tungsten carbide as the base material, this product is produced via high-temperature plasma spherodizing to maintain the base material's chemical properties while providing uniform structure along with excellent flow and liquidity characteristics.

Chromium Carbide

Chromium Carbide

High microhardness and wear resistance at elevated temperatures, relatively poor interparticle strength. Chromium carbide can be employed for hot forming dies, mandrels, hydraulic valves, and machine parts. A first choice for all types of anti-corrosion engineering, it protects steel structures from long-term use and wear.

Macrocrystalline Tungsten Carbide Powder

Macrocrystalline Tungsten Carbide Powder

High-density, carburized alloy powder. This material has greater uniformity, thermal stability, and a much coarser grain structure when compared to standard WC powders using traditional manufacturing processes.

NiCr-Cr3C2 Powder

NiCr-Cr3C2 Powder

Combining the performance of nickel and chromium, this material is ideal for combating corrosion resistance due to salt air, high-temperature fretting, high-temperature gas, and high-temperature oxidation. Applications include turbine air seal rings, nozzles, pump seats, chopped hot rollers piston guides, forks, compressor gas seals, and others.

Tungsten Metal Powder

Tungsten Metal Powder

Tungsten metal powder is a high-purity, crystalline material commonly used for drill bits in oil and gas exploration. It is used as the base material for shaped charges used in perforation guns, high temperature combustion chamber coating, and as tungsten crucibles for furnaces.

WC-10Co-4Cr Powder

WC-10Co-4Cr Powder

Versatile, high quality WC-Co-Cr powder with 4% chromium. Containing 4% Cr, this powder should be used for applications where standard WC-Co coating does not meet the requirements for corrosion resistance. The WC-Co-Cr powder can be deposited by PLASMA, gas HVOF, and liquid fuel HVOF systems.

WC-12Co Powder

WC-12Co Powder

High quality, versatile powder used in hundreds of applications and industries. We offer two standard grads of WC-Co powder; 12% Co and 17% Co. WC-Co powder can be deposited by PLASMA, gas HVOF, and liquid fuel HVOF systems thereby producing coatings that are resistant to abrasion, erosion, and sliding wear.

WC-10Ni Powder

WC-10Ni Powder

WC-based, agglommerated, sintered powder containing nickel for excellent corrosion resistance, abrasion, and sliding wear. WC-Ni coatings have higher hardness but lower toughness with better corrosion resistance than WC-Co. Widely used for ball valves, gate valves, oil field equipment, etc. Being cobalt-free, it may be used in radio-active environments.
